Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel development at Hilltop moves forward

The proposed Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel development at 3101 Garrity Way in the former and demolished Chevy's site in Richmond is moving forward and considering a recommendation to the Planning Commission of a Design Review and Conditional Use Permit for the construction of an ±80,000 square feet five-story hotel with 103-room on a 1.69-acre vacant parcel.

The project would include landscaping, storm treatment areas, and 81 parking stalls throughout the site.

The proposed hotel amenities would include an outdoor seating area, a fitness room, conference room, and bicycle storage lockers. Vehicular access to the site would be provided from two driveways off Garrity Way

The proposed building would wrap around a proposed outdoor seating area at the west side of the building. Other improvements include site lighting, landscape, bioretention areas, and hardscape areas.

The Design Review Board will review plans and adopt recommendations in a meeting on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, starting 6:00 pm in 440 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond, CA.
