Statement from Cesar Zepeda:

I’m a product of Richmond with the experience, vision, and perspective we need on our Council.

I’m dedicated to helping and empowering our residents. As President and Founder of Hilltop District Homeowners & Stakeholders Association and Founder and former President of Hilltop District Neighborhood Council, I concentrate on quality-of-life issues, including public safety, and city services.

As an elected official, President of West County Wastewater District, serving part of Richmond; working to provide clean water and protect public health. As Chair of West County Sierra Club, with years of experience fighting to improve air quality and protecting our environment.

Founder and President of Richmond Rainbow Pride, serve on the Boards of GRIP family shelter providing assistance to unhoused families, and Contra Costa Community College Foundation increasing higher learning opportunities for young people.

Aiming to create and bring community together when I founded The Food Emporium, a community event that incorporated food-trucks, music, and car show to help bring our communities together. Held at the lake at Hilltop and East Brothers Brewery in Point Richmond.

I stand ready to lead on the council: restart our economic engine, improve our infrastructure, address housing affordability, expand economic development, create jobs and promote local hire, and improve public safety and eliminate bias in policing

I’m running in District-2; however, I know the importance of a citywide vision. I have helped and volunteered all over the Richmond, not just one particular community.
